ABC MH Music Announces Launch of National Learn To Play Day

ABC MH Music are delighted to be, once again, hosting the ’learn to play day’ on Saturday 31^st March 2012 at their musical instrument store on St Mary’s Road in Market Harborough.

ABC MH Music ran a "pilot" of this event last year in co-operation with the Music for All organisation (the charity of the UK musical instrument industry).  It was so successful that they are now proud to announce the first annual National Learn to Play Day which will take place at music industry association stores across the UK.

On the day ABC MH Music will offer fun free instrument “taster” lessons by qualified instrumental teachers to include: acoustic guitar, electric guitar, drums, saxophone, flute, clarinet, trumpet and cornet to name but a few.

Across the UK there are 15 million people that either want to play an instrument or used to play one.  This day is aimed at both new musicians and to those wishing to return to playing.  People are often surprised to discover that they ARE musical and simply need a musical ‘experience’ to get them inspired to start playing.  We will offer guidance on Instruments, learning materials, local teachers and organisations, rentals and interest free purchase.

UK instrument manufacturers will also be supporting the event with staff, instruments prizes and special offers! Last year’s event included top guitar demonstrators from both Fender and Peavey plus superb entertainment from a GBRT Carnival Drums and buskers. There will also be special guests attending on the day.

The charity is also proud to have partnered for the event with the Musicians’ Union, Arts Council England’s Take it away scheme and MusicTeachers.co.uk.

Those who attended the first "learn to play day" in 2011 will know this is a great day, not to be missed and there will be a warm welcome for all who attend at the store plus it’s FREE!
